A Classroom is Energized From Learning About the Symptoms of Alcoholism
Mrs. McGregor was one of the health teachers at a large metropolitan high school. Due to recent increases in alcohol-related problems by the students, the school administrators wanted all of the health teachers to spend extra time teaching their students about alcohol abuse and alcoholism. Mrs. McGregor wasn’t sure why, but when she started to discuss some of the signs and symptoms of alcoholism, her class got extremely interested. In fact, Mrs. McGregor had a difficult time completing her discussion due to the constant questions by her students. Based on the feedback she received, Mrs. McGregor decided to go over the same topic at least one or maybe two more days. Mrs. McGregor’s dream was to see some excitement in her students and so she didn’t want to pass up this golden opportunity to feed off the energy she saw in her students.
